What Hush is

Hush is a life continuity app that allows you to store messages, important information, and account access instructions, and deliver them to people you choose if you become unavailable for an extended period.

Hush is a personal organization and communication tool. It is not a legal service, not an estate planning service, and not a substitute for professional legal or financial advice.

Your account

To use Hush you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account. If you lose access to that email, we may be unable to help you recover your account.

The check-in mechanic

Hush operates on a monthly check-in system. If you do not respond to check-in notifications within your configured response window, Hush will initiate a graduated verification sequence and may ultimately deliver your vault contents to your recipients.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• It is your responsibility to respond to check-in notifications
• Hush will make reasonable attempts to reach you before delivering any content
• Once delivery is executed, it cannot be reversed
• Hush is not liable for deliveries triggered by your failure to check in
• You should keep your notification settings active and your contact information current

Your content

You own everything you store in Hush. By storing content in Hush, you grant us a limited license to store, encrypt, and deliver that content as directed by you through the app.

You agree not to store content that:

• Violates any applicable law
• Infringes any third party's intellectual property rights
• Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Is intended to harass, threaten, or harm any person

We cannot read your encrypted content. We rely on you to use the service responsibly.

Subscription and billing

Hush offers a free tier and a Pro subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and managed by RevenueCat. By subscribing you agree to Apple's payment terms.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• You can cancel at any time through your App Store settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• We do not offer refunds except where required by law
• Prices may change with reasonable notice

Service availability

We aim to keep Hush available and reliable. However:

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability
• We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects access
• We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions
• Critical functionality (check-in and delivery) will be prioritized in all maintenance decisions

Limitation of liability

Hush is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to failed deliveries, missed check-ins, or data loss.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of Hush shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice, at our discretion.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email. Continued use of Hush after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Hush operates. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration where permitted by law.
